Reach Child and Youth Development Society is a group that rents our upper floor classrooms from Monday – Thursday. They are not a partner in a traditional sense, but they serve an important part of our community and we wanted the opportunity to introduce them to you.
Reach is a non-profit organization that has been providing programs and services to children and their families since 1959, currently serving the communities of Delta, Surrey and Langley. They offer a variety of services designed to meet the needs of children to ensure their optimum development. Over 1000 children and their families benefit from their services on an annual basis.
The Reach ABA program is for children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) living in Delta, Surrey, Langley and other areas of the Lower Mainland. It is a skill-building program that uses Applied Behavioural Analysis principles to teach young children with autism the functional skills they need.
Services include consultation and training from a Behaviour Consultant, Speech-Language Pathologist and Occupational Therapist. Teams include trained and supervised Behaviour Interventionists (BIs). Families hire their BIs to implement the intervention program. The Reach ABA Program offers options for families with children with autism.
