As we approach God intentionally in prayer and fasting as a church during the next week to set "The Foundation" for 2025, below are the specified points of focus to guide our prayers each day.
January 6 – Gratitude
Psalm 136:1-6 – “Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good! His faithful love endures forever. 2 Give thanks to the God of gods. His faithful love endures forever. 3 Give thanks to the Lord of lords. His faithful love endures forever. 4 Give thanks to him who alone does mighty miracles. His faithful love endures forever. 5 Give thanks to him who made the heavens so skillfully. His faithful love endures forever. 6 Give thanks to him who placed the earth among the waters. His faithful love endures forever.” (NLT).
Prayer Points:
January 7 – Guidance
Proverbs 3:5-6 – “Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. 6 Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.” (NLT).
Psalm 37:5 – “Commit everything you do to the Lord. Trust him, and he will help you.” (NLT).
Prayer Points:
January 8 – Provision
Luke 12:22-24 – “22 Then, turning to his disciples, Jesus said, “That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life—whether you have enough food to eat or enough clothes to wear. 23 For life is more than food, and your body more than clothing. 24 Look at the ravens. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for God feeds them. And you are far more valuable to him than any birds!” (NLT).
Prayer Points:
January 9 – Leadership
1 Timothy 2:1-4 – “2 I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them. 2 Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity. 3 This is good and pleases God our Savior, 4 who wants everyone to be saved and to understand the truth.” (NLT).
Prayer Points:
January 10 – Flourishing
Psalm 92:12-16 – “12 The righteous will flourish like a palm tree, they will grow like a cedar of Lebanon; 13 planted in the house of the Lord, they will flourish in the courts of our God. 14 They will still bear fruit in old age, they will stay fresh and green, 15 proclaiming, “The Lord is upright; he is my Rock, and there is no wickedness in him.” (NIV).
Prayer Points:
January 11 – Gospel Advancement
2 Thessalonians 3:1 – “3 Finally, brothers, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may speed ahead and be honored, as happened among you.” (ESV).
Prayer Points:
January 12 – Perseverance and Sustainability
James 1:12 – “12 Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.” (NIV).
