As the calendar turns to 2025, our church will be engaging in a week of 24/7 prayer and fasting. During this dedicated time where we communally are seeking God, we will be focusing our prayers and fasting primarily on the theme, “The Foundation.”

In Psalm 127:1 we are told, “Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the guards stand watch in vain.” The Apostle Paul wrote in one of His letters to the church in Corinth, “For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ.” (1 Cor. 3:17).

At PCC, our continual aim and desire is for God, through His Holy Spirit, to build our church and lives on the foundation of Jesus Christ for His glory. Therefore, we are wholeheartedly committed to seeking God intentionally through prayer as He builds us up as He wills.

Considering this, our week of 24/7 prayer as we begin 2025 will take place from Sunday, January 5th to Sunday, January 12th. We encourage everyone to sign up for multiple slots to commune with God through prayer.

PCC’s prayer room will be accessible during this week for everyone to use. There will be security on-site throughout this time. For those who cannot come to the church in person, please feel free to sign up for slots to pray at home or wherever you choose. Here’s the link to sign up.

Our churchwide fast will take place from Monday, January 6th to Sunday, January 12th. We invite everyone in our church to fast for at least one day during this week. Below are the details on when you are being asked to fast based on last-name initials.

  • Monday (Last Names A to D)
  • Tuesday (Last Names E to H)
  • Wednesday (Last Names I to L)
  • Thursday (Last Names M to P)
  • Friday (Last Names Q to T)
  • Saturday (Last Names U to W)
  • Sunday (Last Names X to Z)

On Sunday, January 5th, Pastor Prince will preach on fasting to equip us as we engage with this essential spiritual practice. We will communicate prayer points and areas of focus for each day within the next couple of weeks.
